I thank you so much for this video man I start emt school August 19 and I’ve been an athlete all my life I had a daughter 2 years ago so I kinda lost my athletic appearance but I’ve always been doing 200 pushups and 500 crunches and calf raises and 10-12 sets of curls and hammer curls but I still feel like I’m nervous as if I’m not fit enough for the academy I look up videos all day just trying too look for answers and you hit it on the spot I hope and pray I can become a firefighter and be the best I can be 🙏🏾

My minimum was $800 for online portion.....$1400 for separate hands on, $104(?) for the NREMT Exam. Then I went out of state for an accelerated portion (I know this was my choice), $850 hotel costs, driving + gas, then B,L,S each day. About $4000. My community college is about $3000+ however even in the summer (accelerated course) was from May - Aug. My numbers are from December 2022. Thank you.

Disengaging from work isn’t possible for everyone which is why I’m going part time. Bills still have to get paid and especially given the last few years financial effect you have to do what you have to do.

I had a DUI that got reduced to a P.I. through a plea bargain; I also have a charge for Resisting Law Enforcement by Vehicle, it was a felony charge that got reduced to a misdemeanor through a plea bargain. What do you think, would this impact my ability to obtain my NREMT?

It’s not just about retaining the information and scoring well on the tests. It’s also about how you sit, how you stand, how you talk. What kind of attitude do you have? Are you able to get along with others? How do you react when people tease or talk crap? Are you able to handle it and even give it back? Are you able to apply the information you know into a real world situation? How are your leadership skills? You will be in intense situations where you need to give direct orders to multiple people. Can you do this? Are you a confident person? Confidence is everything in this environment. Are you in shape? It’s not just about studying and passing the exam.

I have a question, I went to take my live screen fingerprints for California Corrections. I'm going, to be honest with you, I don't know if you could give me any advice in 2013 I applied for a cleaning agency, that agency cleans the sheriff's buildings. Even though I didn't get the job through the sheriff's agency, they took my fingerprints to work there. The problem was that I forgot to mention it, do you think they will find out? I got fired from work because I wasn't doing my best, I was immature.

I had a buddy get picked up as a flight medic in Iraq. They were pulling medics from the aid station because the battalion was really short on flight guys. He learned OJT with another medic onboard until he progressed enough to be on his own. Did really well until we rotated back stateside and they sent him to actual flight medic school. Bombed the ACLS portion of the school. Same thing, wasn’t expecting it to be difficult.
